Kutbettin G?len, the brother of US-based cleric Fethullah G?len, has been detained in Turkey over suspected involvement in the coup attempt made on July 15, AFP reports.
He was detained in Western Turkey, at the home of a relative in a district of Izmir province.
According to Anadolu Agency, he was accused of being a member of an armed terror group.
The group's name is not explicitly mentioned, but Turkey alleges that Kutbettin's brother Fethullah heads a terror group called "FET?". Ankara blames FET? for being behind the coup attempt.
Tens of thousands have been arrested and tens of thousands dismissed in relation to an ongoing probe which authorities say has unearthed evidence that the people concerned were complicit in the coup attempt.
