Ukraine Issues Stark Warning: Third World War if Russia Prevails!
Ukraine's Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal, issued a stark warning, stating that a third world war would erupt if Russia emerged victorious in the ongoing conflict
Russia and Ukraine are among a few of the countries that have raised questions regarding the Bulgarian nomination of European Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva for UN Secretary General, announced Radio Free Europe.
Russia, Angola and Malaysia – all members of the Security Council asked Sofia for clarifications after it proposed Georgieva as “Bulgaria’s single candidate” for the position.
Bulgaria had earlier nominated the head of UNESCO Irina Bokova for the same position but rethought her nomination after she did not do well in the preliminary rounds of voting.
Bokova, who is considered a more pro-Russian candidate than Georgieva, stated that she will remain in the race even without the support of the Bulgarian government.
“Russia is not involved in this candidate exchange,” stated the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Mariya Zaharova on September 29.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to the UN Volodymyr Yelchenko opposed the late entry of Georgieva in the race, reported earlier AFP.
“I think she is late. The way this is being done is not entirely correct,” stated Yelchenko.
