Bulgaria: Angela Merkel Severely Criticized Countries Unwilling to Accept More Refugees EPA/BGNES

Angela Merkel expressed her severe criticism towards the countries in Europe who took a stance by saying they will not be admitting any more Muslim refugees.

She noted that each and every country should make a contribution to solving the migrant crisis and added that countries with smaller budgets should be allowed to admit a smaller number of people.

''We are about to see exactly how the situation can be balanced out,'' Merkel said, as quoted by a local TV station.

The German Chancellor noted that not allowing people in a country on the basis of their religion would be a mistake. She also urged the Turkish minority in Germany to help alleviate the dialogue with the country, as opposed to making it worse.

''We expect people of Turkish origin, who have been living in Germany for a long time to demonstrate a high level of loyalty to our country,'' she added.

Merkel did not share her plans as to whether she will be running for office again, and noted she will make the announcement later on during the year.
