Bulgarian authorities have issued the highest alert for possible wildfires on Sunday.
The warning spreads to all regions in Eastern Bulgaria, but also to Plovdiv, Smolyan and Pazardzhik in the south and Blagoevgrad in the southwest.
The eastern regions affected include Ruse, Silistra, Razgrad, Targovishte, Shumen, Varna, Burgas, Yambol, Haskovo, Kardzhali, Sliven, and Stara Zagora.
A "red index" (as the alert is called) suggests fires could spread quickly in the areas concerned, extending to long fronts.
