NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will visit Bulgaria on December 19, 2024, as announced by the Ministry of Defense
A forest fire near Ardino, in southern Bulgaria, has been contained, the authorities said on Saturday.
Monitoring continues in the area of the blaze to make sure that fire won’t break out again as some pockets of fire are still smoldering. Firefighters, 50 military servicemen, and volunteers are in the area to prevent recurrence of the fire.
Two helicopters will continue to fly over the area and drop water to put out the last pockets of fire.
No one was hurt in the blaze which engulfed 100 hectares of pine forest.
