Bulgaria: Three-Way Summit to Lay Basis for Supplying Turkmen Gas to Europe

The basis for possible future deliveries of natural gas from Turkmenistan to Europe is expected to laid at a meeting of the presidents of Turkey, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, the Associated Press has reported, citing a Turkish diplomat.

The summit would take place later this year, the AP quoted Turkey's envoy to Turkmenistan, Mustafa Kapucu, as saying on Friday.

For Turkmen gas to reach Europe, a pipeline has been proposed to cross the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan from where the gas would be fed into Trans-Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP).

Turkmenistan has the world’s fourth-largest gas reserves, which amount up to 17.5 trillion cubic metres.
