After more than a year of touring, the Bulgarian treasures from the "First Rulers of Europe" exhibition have returned to Bulgaria
The nine-year-old boy who had gone missing in the forest between the villages of Bogdan and Stoletovo in the municipality of Karlovo was found on Wednesday evening after being spotted by a citizen.
Stanimir, who got lost on Monday, was found in good condition eight kilometres away from the village.
He was found cuddling in the bushes and starving after not having eaten in the past 48 hours.
The boy was examined by doctors on the spot and was admitted to the hospital in Karlovo where he will remain for 24 hours.
The search for him lasted more than 48 hours. A total of 35 police officers from Karlovo and Hisarya as well as a specialised group from Plovdiv with specially trained dogs participated in the search operation.
A group of twenty volunteers made up of men from the local hunting club and foresters also took part in the search.
Stanimir, who went missing after he had gone out with his mother to take the goats for pasture, was one of the two children to get lost in two different parts of Bulgaria on Monday.
