No injuries to people or damage to property have been reported following an earthquake that shook southwestern Bulgaria on Sunday, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
The tremor measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck at 1158 a.m. (0858 GMT) on Sunday, according to data from Bulgaria’s National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography (NIGGG).
The epicenter was near the town of Sandanski, close to Bulgarian borders with Greece and Macedonia and some 120 km south of Sofia.
