Bulgarian Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski has taken decision to dismiss the director of the ministry's Civil Aviation Administration general directorate, Mintcho Tsvetkov.

Moskovski has decided to propose the replacement of Tsvetkov some time ago, the press service of the transport ministry informed on Friday.

The reasons for his dismissal are suspicions for unlawful practices in the directorate and established weaknesses in the administrative management of the directorate.

Earlier during the week, Moskovski made a proposal to Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to replace Tsvetkov.

The ministry is continuing to check signals for unlawful practices, with cases which are not of its competencies forwarded to relevant authorities.

Moskovski is working hard on ending the unlawful practices, with immediate actions taken on all signals submitted to him.

This development follows the recent corruption scandal at the Road Transport Administration executive agency.

Fourteen officials of the executive agency, including its chairperson Tsvetelin Tsvetanov, were arrested on suspicions of conducting unlawful practices when issuing certificates to road transport companies and driving licences.
