The highest ranking Bulgarian male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov climbed one position to occupy the 27th place in the latest ATP ranking released on Monday.

The progress of Dimitrov is largely due to his victory over Andy Murray in the third round of the Miami Open last week.

Unfortunately, the Bulgarian was defeated by Gael Monfils in the next round and did not proceed further.

The highest ranking Bulgarian female tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova retained her position in the top 100 in the latest WTA ranking also updated on Monday.

Pironkova dropped five positions to 98th place after being defeated in the second round of the qualifications for the Miami Open.
