Bulgaria's Tourism Struggles to Diversify Beyond Traditional Offerings
Bulgaria continues to lag behind neighboring countries in achieving significant growth in its tourism sector
The highest ranking Bulgarian male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov defeated Britain's Andy Murray in a match from the third round of the Miami Open.
Dimitrov defeated Murray with 6:7 (1), 6:4, 6:3 in a very contested match which lasted nearly two and a half hours.
Thus, the Bulgarian scored his third victory in nine encounters with his British opponent.
The first set was very contested, with Murray prevailing in the tie-break.
Dimitrov started the second set well, achieving two breaks in the beginning and establishing a comfortable 4:0 lead.
Murray managed to return a break and nearly succeeded in equalising, making the score 4:3.
However the Bulgarian did not allow any more surprises and closed the set with 6:4.
In the final set, Murray made a break and came in the lead 3:1. However Dimitrov managed to recover quickly and to make a comeback, coming in the lead with 4:3 after recording two breaks.
The Bulgarian kept his advantage until the end, not allowing his opponent to win any other games and claimed the final victory.
In the next round, Dimirov will face Gael Monfils from France.
