Bulgaria: Wizz Air to Start Operating Sofia-Budapest Flights from November 1

The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air will operate flights between Sofia and Budapest starting from November 1.

The company will conduct flights between the Bulgarian and Hungarian capitals three times a week, flying on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The tickets are available for purchase at the website of the airline, with prices for one way flights starting from EUR 19.99.

Last week, Wizz Air announced that it will begin operating flights between Sofia and the second largest city of Georgia – Kutaisi from the end of September.

Starting from March, the company will increase the number of airplanes operating from its base in Sofia to six.

The airline conducts flights to 29 destinations in fifteen countries from its base in the Bulgarian capital.

Wizz Air recorded a 22 % increase in the number of its passengers in 2015, with their figure reaching 1.36 million in Bulgaria.
