Options for Chinese companies to build a second bridge over the Varna lake were one of the items on the agenda of a meeting between Chinese investors and Varna Mayor Ivan Portnih, regional authorities report.

During their talks on Saturday, Pornih introduced industry and tourism opportunities offered by the city to the entrepreneurial delegation of China's National Development and Reform Commission, led by Ning Jizhe.

Chinese officials from the banking, railway, international transportation and road infrastructure sectors, along with Chinese embassy representatives, are part of the delegation.

Another visit to Varna by a Chinese delegation has been scheduled for May.

The guests are visiting Burgas, the other big port city on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, on Sunday.
