The Bulgarian men's national football team will participate at the Kirin Cup friendly tournament which will be held in Japan between June 3 and 7.
Apart from Bulgaria and the hosts Japan, the other teams participating in the tournament will be Bosnia and Herzegovina and Denmark.
The first matches will take place at the Toyota stadium, Aichi prefecture on June 3, with the opponents to be determined by a draw of the Japan Football Association.
The winners from the encounters will play in the final at Suita stadium, Osaka prefecture on June 7, with the third-place match also to take place there.
Bulgaria participated at the 2006 edition of the Kirin Cup when it finished second after recording a victory over Japan and suffering a defeat to Scotland.
Similarly to Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Denmark also failed to qualify for EURO 2016.
In March, the Bulgarian team will travel to Leiria and Skopje to play friendly matches against Portugal and Macedonia.
The matches are part of the preparations for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers which begin in September.
Bulgaria is in qualification group A together with the teams of the Netherlands, France, Sweden, Belarus and Luxembourg.
