British Prime Minister David Cameron is to meet with Bulgaria's head of government Boyko Borisov and President Rosen Plevneliev upon his arrival to the country on Thursday afternoon, the government in Sofia has announced.
EU reform proposals submitted by Cameron and issues related to the migrant crisis will be on the agenda of both meetings. He is also to visit the Bulgarian-Turkish border as part of the EU's external border.
Cameron and Plevneliev are set to meet at 18:00 EET (local time) at the Presidency of Bulgaria's office in downtown Sofia. The two will later head to an innovation exhibition at the Sofia Tech Park.
Apart from being Cameron's first trip to Bulgaria, the Thursday visit is also the first for a British PM since Tony Blair was in Sofia in 1999.
