German police arrested two women and a man in connection with Friday's attacks in Paris, which had claimed the lives of 129 people and left hundreds injured.

The arrests were carried out in the town of Alsdorf, northeast of the city of Aachen, Deutsche Welle reports.

Special units were deployed to conduct the operation, with the arrests occurring at a job centre.

The identities and nationalities of the three arrested people have not been disclosed.

Large-scale manhunt has been conducted in Belgium and France as authorities are looking for suspected perpetrators of the attacks and alleged accomplices.

The authorities are still looking for a key suspect, 26-year-old Salah Abdeslam, brother of one of the suicide attackers.

Abdeslam is suspected of renting a black VW Polo used in the attacks against the Bataclan concert hall.

He was supposedly stopped by police near the border with Belgium shortly after the attacks, but officials let him and the other two men accompanying him go as their names did not appear on any wanted list at the time.
