Bulgaria’s Euro Debate: Economist Calls for Addressing Legitimate Public Fears

Bulgaria's Minister of Youth and Sports, Krasen Kralev, invited building entrepreneurs from Qatar to invest in the mountain sports complexes Belmeken and Pamporovo.
Kralev extended the invitation during a meeting with his Qatari counterpart Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, the press service of the sports ministry informs.
The Bulgarian minister was on a two-day working visit to Qatar which coincided with the AIBA World Boxing Championship taking place in Doha.
The two ministers discussed the forthcoming signature of a memorandum for cooperation in the field of sports.
The memorandum foresees the holding of joint training camps, cooperation in the field of sports medicine, fight against doping, the opportunity for Bulgarian specialists to work in Qatar's boxing, wrestling, shooting and volleyball federations.
The document will also encourage the exchange of delegations, experts and specialists in the field of youth, sports, physical education and applied science through direct contact with the relevant youth organisations and sports federations.
During his visit, Kralev also met with the Secretary General of the Qatar Olympic Committee Dr. Thani Al-Kuwari.
In Doha, the Bulgarian minister held a conversation with the President of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Dr Wu Ching-kuo.
Kralev assured him that Bulgaria will be an excellent host to the Olympic qualifications for participants in the APB and WSB series next year.
The Bulgarian minister added that Bulgaria has applied for hosting the women's European Boxing Championship in 2016.
The president of AIBA shared that women boxing is his personal cause and invited Bulgaria to apply for hosting the women's World Boxing Championship in 2018.
Kralev also met with Bulgarian athletes, coaches and sports specialists living in the capital of Qatar, who shared their views on the development of professional and mass sport in Bulgaria, the preparation of young athletes and discussed the reforms initiated by the minister and his team.
