Bulgaria: Bulgaria's Stoevi Sisters Reach Final of Russian Open

The Bulgarian badminton players – sisters Gabriela and Stefani Stoevi reached the final of the Russian Open Grand Prix, which is taking place in Vladivostok between July 21 and 26.

In the semifinals, Stoevi defeated the Japanese Rie Etoh and Aoi Matsuda with 21:18, 21:18, in a match lasting 46 minutes.

Thus, the sisters, who are seeded first in the tournament, reached their third final in the Grand Prix series, sportal.bg informs.

In the final, the Bulgarians will face Johanna Goliszewski and Carla Nelte from Germany, who are seeded second in the tournament.

Stoevi are motivated to seek revenge against the Germans as it was to them that they lost their first Grand Prix final in Rio de Janeiro last year.

This season has been quite successful for the Bulgarians so far, as they have claimed three titles - the Orleans International Challenge, the Spanish International and won the gold medals at the First European Games in Baku.
