Bulgaria: Bulgaria Defeats Poland 3-2, Proceeds to Final of Men's Volleyball in Baku

The Bulgarian men's national volleyball team proceeded to the final of the First European Games, which are taking place in Baku.

In the semifinal, which was played on Friday, Bulgaria defeated Poland 3-2 (25-14, 19-25, 25-22, 23-25, 15-13).

Jani Jeliazkov scored 21 points for Bulgaria, while his teammates Todor Aleksiev and Valentin Bratoev added respectively 19 and 18 points.

In the final, which will take place on the closing day of the games on Sunday, Bulgaria will face the winner from the other semifinal, which pits against each other the teams of Russia and Germany.

Bulgaria has already faced both teams in Baku, having played against them in the matches from Pool B.

The Bulgarian team, which finished third in Pool B, recorded a 3-1 victory over Russia and suffered a 0-3 defeat to Germany.

The loss from Germany has been the only defeat for Bulgaria so far, the team having won all other four matches in Pool B and the quarterfinal against Turkey.
