Bulgaria: Bulgaria Football Union Withdraws Domestic, Euro Licences of Four Teams

The teams of CSKA and Lokomotiv Sofia, as well as Marek (Dupnitsa) and Haskovo have been denied licences for both the domestic A Group and the European tournaments, the Bulgarian Football Union, BFS, announced on Wednesday

The team of Cherno More has been licensed for competing in the European tournaments, BFS said in a statement.

The decision of the Licensing Committee can be appealed within a week, BFS said in a statement.

BFS didn’t elaborate on the reasons why the teams had been denied licences but according to gong.bg Sofia-based CSKA and Lokomotov hadn’t managed to settle outstanding debt to the state before the March 31 deadline.
