Ukraine Approves Purchase of Belene NPP Reactors from Bulgaria
The Ukrainian parliament has approved the purchase of two Russian nuclear reactors that were originally intended for the Belene Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in Bulgaria
"The opposition is organizing one of the acts of the Ukrainian drama by putting tents, and probably a Macedonian Klitschko will follow who will be a pawn."
Violeta Achkovska, a Macedonian historian, commenting on the anti-government protests in Macedonia during a pro-government rally.
The cabinet and many of its supporters refer to the events in Macedonia as an attempt at staging a Ukraine-style "Maidan" in the capital Skopje, similar to the one that toppled Viktor Yanukovych as President in February of last year.
Vitali Klitschko, a heavyweight boxing champion and now a mayor of Kiev, was among the leaders of the protest movement that stood against Yanukovych at the time.
