Bulgaria's Chief of Defense Vice Admiral Rumen Nikolov has said security services will be able to tell whether the developments in Kumanovo, Macedonia were an incident or followed "someone's scenario".

Vice Admiral Nikolov has made the comment in reference to the attack in Kumanovo, northwestern Macedonia, which claimed the lives of 8 police officers.

"At this stage I would say no," the Bulgarian National Radio quotes him as saying when asked by reporters if the attack was actually an incident or unfolded upon a certain scenario.

"This is undoubtedly linked to... internal conflicts among existing groups. It is not my obligation to comment on diplomatic channels [security services] use at work, but this is the real situation in Macedonia," he said.
