''Gruevski has indeed established a dictatorship with a democratic facade, of course, but even our very imperfect democracy can serve as an example as compared to what is happening in Skopje right now,'' stated Director of the National History Museum in Bulgaria and Former Minister of Culture Bozhidar Dimitrov in an interview for the Bulgarian National Television. '' There is no law preventing the conflict of interest and the entire government, including directors of secret services, customs, not to mention the ministers, they are all related - they are first, second cousins, nieces, etc. Althogether, the government is held by an extended family, and not by a particular party.''

Tensions in Macedonia have heightened after opposition SDSM leader Zoran Zaev accused the government and demanded its resignation and that of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski. In his latest revelation on Tuesday, Zaev published wiretapping information, which according to him proved that the state leadership and the interior ministry had plotted in the cover-up of a 2011 police killing.

''This is one concrete example and is by far not the only reason that has caused the protests,'' added Dimitrov.

He compared the events in Macedonia to tensions in Ukraine.

''Maybe there will be rebel shots even tonight, perhaps unknown snipers will kill several people, and so the protests will intensify,'' projected the historian. '' Note that they started in Skopje, but unlike Ukraine, tensions were also felt in Bitolya - the second largest city, as well as in Prilep and tonight the situation will escalate in Shtip as well. I am expecting that Gruevski will be submitting his resignation in the upcoming 3-4 days, especially if blood is shed.''
