Iran Claims Israel Behind Gas Pipeline Explosions
An Iranian official has accused Israel of orchestrating an attack on gas pipelines in Iran last week
Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has ruled out an option of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline crossing Serbian territory.
In an interview for the Interfax news agency he describes the implementation of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline project in Serbia as impossible, adding that the country will not receive gas from this source.
He expressed Serbia’s opposition to the sanctions against Russia, yet noted that when the country became and EU Member State, it would have to observe the EU’s common foreign policy.
Nikolic, as cited by local news agencies, told Interfax that achieving a solution to the Kosovo issue was a basic requirement for accession to the EU, while relations with Russia and the sanctions imposed on the country could only be a problem once Serbia was an EU Member State.
