Tickets are almost sold out months prior to the screening of the classic movie The Godfather accompanied by the live music performance of the symphonic orchestra to the Bulgarian Nation Radio.
As a result, the event organizers have issued additional tickets for the second balcony of Hall 1 of the Bulgarian National Palace of Culture (NDK). Prices vary between BGN 40 and 60, and the show is set to take place on November 7.
Over 60 musicians of the Symphonic Orchestra to the Bulgarian National Radio will be playing live the melodies from the original score of Grammy winner Nino Rota. The conductor of the show will be US musician Justin Freer.
''You will literally hear every note of the songs in the movie,'' Freer said, as quoted by Presa daily. '' My goal was to keep the original feeling and changes in the arrangement are minimal.'' So far, Freer has worked on the concert renditions of Titanic, Gladiator and even The Lord of the Rings.
