Nepal government has urged international rescue teams to retract from its territory. The official reason pointed out was that at this point the hope for finding survivors is minimal, as reported by bTV.
However, a different explanation is also roaming around the public space - that foreigners could pose a threat upon national security. For instance, and Indian helicopter made its first flight over a military region, as opposed to cruising over land affected by the earthquake, reporters of the Bulgarian media stated.
Meanwhile, a portion of the humanitarian aid is not able to reach people beyond Kathmandu. Local people suspect that a portion of the supplies is being detracted by the authorities.
Additionally, a number of schools have been turned into temporary living camps.
Close to 1.7 million children continue experiencing a dire need of humanitarian aid in the most severely affected by the earthquake regions in Nepal, as reported by UNICEF. The organization has been employing its efforts into securing clean water and good sanitary conditions for the most vulnerable groups.
The charity fund will be aiming at raising USD 50 M in order to provide assistance for children and families in Nepal over the course of the upcoming three months.
