Bulgaria: Bulgaria’s Stamenova Keeps Champion’s Title in Women’s 200m Euro Single Canoe Race Staniliya Stamenova. File photo by sportal.bg

Bulgaria’s Staniliya Stamenova has upheld her European champion’s title in the 200 metres finals of the senior women’s single canoe race.

Stamenova finished in 49.796 seconds, winning the gold medal in the race held in Racice in the Czech Republic on Sunday. She was the only one to stop the clock in less than 50 seconds.

Hungary’s Zsanett Lakatos finished 1.284 seconds behind and Russia’s Irina Andreeva came third at 1.404 seconds behind Stamenova, according to the website of the European Canoe Sprint Seniors Championships 2015.
