The Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister for Demographic and Social Policies Ivaylo Kalfin proposed on Thursday the introduction of flexible working time.
According to the proposal, employees will be allowed to be absent for up to two or three hours from the regular working time, but will compensate by working at other times, Darik radio reports.
Kalfin revealed that discussions consider the compulsory working hours to be five or six, while the remaining hours could be compensated in the time frame between 7 a.m. and 8.30 p.m.
According to the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, the measure will be useful to people caring for small children and elderly relatives.
Another proposed measure is allowing employees to work from home for a certain number of days, if the occupation allows it and with the consent of their employer.
