Nikolova said this in the town of Troyan, where she unveiled the renovated municipal hospital on Tuesday, the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) reports.

It became clear that over BGN 165 M will be allocated for the emergency medical service centres under the Regions in Growth Operational Programme for the 2014-2020 programme period.

Nikolova explained that part of the funds will cover the purchase of equipment for the emergency medical departments.

The minister added that the Human Resources Development Operational Programme foresees funds for the professional qualification of doctors working for the emergency medical service.

She expressed her hope that the allocated funds will fully meet the demands of the emergency medical service.
