The Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) adopted at its regular general assembly on Tuesday its budget for 2015, which amounts to BGN 3.45 M.
A quick comparison shows that BOC increased its budget with BGN 400 000 compared to last year, daily Dnevnik reports.
The increase is mostly due to Bulgaria's participation in the forthcoming First European Games, which will be held in Baku between June 12 and 28.
The expenses of BOC amounted to BGN 3.05 M in 2014, while this year the figure is expected to rise to BGN 3.452 M.
Around BGN 1.2 M will be allocated to the participation in the European Games, which will award Olympic quotas in some sports, while in other sports the games have the status of European championships.
Over BGN 500 000 will be spent on the participation in the winter and summer editions of the European Youth Olympic Festival.
Another BGN 230 000 are foreseen for aiding sport events and BOC will support basketball with BGN 29 000.
BOC expects to be granted BGN 1.76 M from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and another BGN 1.178 from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
