Bulgaria: Bulgaria’s State Fund Agriculture Transfers BGN 5 M to Pomorie for Upgrade of Fishing Port The State Fund Agriculture (SFA) headquarters, photo by BGNES

The State Fund Agriculture – Paying Agency has made an advance subsidy payment of nearly BGN 5 M to the Pomorie Municipality for the reconstruction and modernization of the local fishing port.

The money was transferred under measure 3.3. “Investments for reconstruction and modernization of fishing ports, unloading sites and covered boat berths” of the Operational Program for the Development of the Fisheries Sector 2007-2013.

The total amount of the financial assistance granted to the project stands at BGN 9 722 549.

The measure is financed by the European Fisheries Fund (EFF).

The grant accounts for 100% of the entire amount of the approved investment, of which 75% is EU funding and 25% national co-financing from the state budget.
