According to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, no Bulgarian citizens were featured on the list of passengers, who were on board of the Germanwings plane, which crashed on Tuesday.

At present the same information is being confirmed by the German Foreign Ministry, the press service of Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry informs.

The Bulgarian Embassy in Paris and the Consulate General in Frankfurt are in constant contact with the relevant local authorities.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences to the families and relatives of the victims in the tragic accident.

Meanwhile, search and rescue teams continue works on recovering the bodies of the passengers and the debris of the crashed plane.

The Airbus A320 was conducting flight 4U 9525 from Barcelona to Dusseldorf when it crashed above the French Alps, killing all 150 people on board.

One of the black boxes - the cockpit voice recorder was recovered on Tuesday, while the search for the flight data recorder continues.

French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said that although the cockpit voice recorder was damaged, it will still be useful in identifying the possible cause of the crash, which still remains unknown.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy have all gathered at the site of the crash on Wednesday, the BBC reports.

The European Commission declared three days of mourning to commemorate the victims of the heavy incident.

Some Gemanwings flights had to be cancelled after pilots and flight attendants refused to fly due to emotional reasons.
