The President of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFS) Borislav Mihaylov was reelected to the Executive Committee of UEFA on Tuesday.

Mihaylov was elected at the second round of voting during the XXXIX Ordinary UEFA Congress, which is taking place in Vienna.

Six out of the total twelve candidates garnered sufficient number of votes - above 50 % from the 54 member national associations and were elected at the first round, daily Dnevnik reports.

As seven people had to be elected to the executive committee, this necessitated a second round of voting, in which Mihaylov received the most number of votes.

Earlier on Tuesday, Michel Platini, who was the only candidate for UEFA President, was reelected for a third successive four-year term.
