The direction of the state agency to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works in Kardzhali has a new director starting Tuesday, BGNES reported.

Orhan Ibrahim, who was the director of the Road Infrastructure Agency in the southern Bulgarian town was fired on account of bad management of the crisis situation with the heavy snowfalls in the region.

During his visit in Kardzhali, Regional Minister Liliana Pavlova warned that there will be severe sanctions for the local authorities and criticized Ibrahim strongly on the lack of control and efficiency management of the snow cleaning companies.

Orhan Ibrahim was appointed director of the regional directorate of the state agency during the socialist Oresharski government, overturned after mass civil protests in the summer of 2014.

He will be replaced by Zhivko Bogovski who has formerly taken the position in Kardzhali.
