FlixBus Expands Routes from Bulgaria: New Connections to Thessaloniki, Athens, and More
FlixBus, the renowned European bus company, is set to launch new routes to and from Bulgaria in anticipation of the summer season
Bulgaria had 2016 accommodation establishments with more than ten beds – hotels, motels, camping sites, chalets and other places for short-term accommodation, functioning in December 2014.
The number of rooms was 58 000, while the beds numbered 116 300, reveals the latest data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI), which was released on Tuesday.
Compared to December 2013, accommodation establishments increased with 7.1 %, while the number of beds increased with 5.9 %.
The total number of overnight stays in all accommodation establishments registered in December 2014 was 723 800, which represents an increase of 6.2 % compared to the same month a year ago.
The greatest increase in overnight stays, amounting to 15.3 %, was recorded in accommodation establishments with four and five stars.
The number of people staying overnight in accommodation establishments in December 2014 amounted to 360 600, which represents an increase of 7.7 % compared to the same month a year ago.
Out of all people staying overnight, 74.9 % were Bulgarians, the majority of them staying in accommodation establishments with one, two or three stars.
The number of foreigners was 90 500, the majority of them staying in establishments with four and five stars.
The revenues from overnight stays in December 2014 amounted to BGN 35.2 M, which is an increase of 7.1 % compared to the same month in 2013.
There is an increase in revenues originating from both foreigners and Bulgarians.
