Leftist SYRIZA party, the winner in Greece's snap elections, and rightist, anti-austerity Independent Greeks could form a government as early as Monday, sources suggest.

A meeting between SYRIZA's leader Alexis Tsipras and counterpart from IG Panos Kamenos is scheduled for Monday morning, according to a political scientist who spoke to the Bulgarian National Television in Athens.

The two reportedly arranged the meeting over the phone on Sunday evening and are set to discuss possible cooperation at 11:00 EET, most likely at SYRIZA's headquarters.

The information suggests Kamenos might receive a ministerial seat in return for his support.

Official vote count shows SYRIZA will be just two seats short of parliamentary majority, gaining 149 out of 300 MP seats. The Independent Greeks party is to get 13 seats.
