Bulgaria’s Parliament will vote on Friday on the nomination of Prime Minister designate Boyko Borisov and the coalition cabinet he has formed.
The voting procedure will start at 9 EEST (7 UTC).
The coalition cabinet was formed a month after inconclusive October 5 elections in which Borisov’s centre-right GERB party won most votes but remained short of outright majority.
On Wednesday, Bulgaria’s President Rosen Plevneliev asked Borisov, as leader of the biggest political force represented in Parliament, to form a cabinet.
The new government will comprise ministers nominated by GERB and right-wing Reformist Bloc, which together have 107 of the 240 seats in Parliament.
The cabinet will have to rely for support in Parliament on left-wing ABV party and nationalist Patriotic Front (PF), who have 11 and 19 seats, resectively. ABV and the PF on Thursday pledged to back Borisov’s cabinet while retaining the right to voice different opinions.
