The leaders of the right-wing Reformist Bloc's two biggest parties are to head its parliamentary group if a government is formed, the leaders themselves confirmed on Sunday.

The appointment of Radan Kanev, who heads the Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) and Meglena Kuneva, who chairs Movement Bulgaria for Citizens (DBG), was unanimously approved, according to a statement issued after the bloc held a session to consider various aspects of its participation in the next cabinet.

Kuneva is quoted as saying that the alliance's decision should be perceived as a clear signed "that the group is stable and can unanimously pass important decisions."

Even if either Kanev or Kuneva (or both) joins the executive, the post of parliamentary group chair will remain shared between DSB and DGB, respectively, the statement reads further.

Kunev for his part told the Bulgarian National Radio on Sunday Reformists had discussed no issues related to specific candidacies related to the next government.
