The fifth edition of the festival for American independent cinema SOfia Independent will take place in Sofia from October 24 till November 1.
The screenings will take place in Dom Na Kinoto, Euro Cinema, Odeon and the G8 cultural centre.
This year's programme will consist of 25 feature and documentary films, including titles shown at the latest Sundance festival - “Whiplash”, “The Return To Homs” and “52 Tuesdays”, among others, and a special selection of films on extreme sports, including the Bulgarian documentary “The Tracks” about the history of the free ride ski movement in Bulgaria.
The retrospective programme of So Independent will feature the films “Leaves of Grass”, “The Master” and “The Words”.
The festival will also include master classes and lectures in the So Academy panel.
