North Korea Sentences US National to 6 Years Hard Labor

North Korea has sentenced a US national to six years of hard labor for "hostile acts", the state-run KCNA news agency has reported, Sunday.
Matthew Miller was arrested in April for violating his tourist status in the country. The authorities have not specified the exact charges, but said he tore up his visa and demanded political asylum, the BBC informed.
Another American tourist awaiting trial, Jeffrey Fowle, was arrested in May for leaving a Bible at a provincial club while Korean-American missionary Kenneth Bae is currently serving out a 15-year sentence for alleged "hostile acts."
Miller traveled to North Korea after arranging a private tour, despite US State Department warnings to American citizens of arbitrary arrest and detention in the country, CNN reported.
The US has accused North Korea of using Miller and the two other detained Americans as pawns in a diplomatic game.
