Stefan Stefanov, head of the Blagoevgrad-based unit (southwestern unit) of Bulgaria's Customs Agency, has been dismissed.

He received his dismissal order late on Thursday, according to reports of Struma daily based on sources close to the matter.

The measure has not been officially confirmed by the Customs Agency yet.

Georgi Andonov, deputy of Stefanov, will be a temporary replacement for the dismissed director.

Vanyo Tanov warned in one of his first interviews after assuming office as Customs Agency Director on August 12 that the southwestern unit of the Agency was to brace for dismissals as it was reporting poor results.
