One of the four vessels used in the construction of the South Stream pipeline's underwater section has arrived at the port of the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Burgas.

The huge pipe-laying ship is expected to be in constant motion while carrying out building activities, Bulgarian national private channel NOVA TV has reported.

In mid-August another port city, Varna, saw the first deliveries of pipes being made there.

This activity continued last week, despite orders by interim Economy and Energy Minister Vasil Shtonov that the project remain frozen.
