Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is to sign a decree on dissolving the Verkhovna Rada and calling early parliamentary elections next week.

"I think it is 95% likely that there will be a presidential decree next week on dissolving the Verkhovna Rada and calling early parliamentary elections, as the 30-day time frame for forming a new coalition will expire within the next few days," presidential adviser Oleg Medvedev said on Radio Liberty, as cited by Interfax.

"Nobody is trying" to form a new coalition and is not planning to try, and therefore the president will be entitled to dissolve the parliament, he added.

Factions UDAR and Svoboda have previously announced that they quit the coalition. If MPs do not form a new coalition before the end of August, according to the Constitution, the Ukrainian president will have all reasons to dissolve the parliament and announce early parliamentary elections on October 26, Itar-Tass informs.
