Bulgaria's caretaker Prime Minister Georgi Bliznashki has appointed the first batch of caretaker deputy ministers.

Radoslav Rusev, Angel Petrov and Yordanka Chobanova will join the team of the Regional Development Ministry. Angel Petrov was a Deputy Minister of Regional Development in the caretaker government of Marin Raykov. Yordanka Chobanova is currently an Adviser to the President Rosen Plevneliev and a lecturer at the Technical University in Sofia. Radoslav Rusev is a senior adviser, Water and Environment, in New Europe Corporate Advisory.

The caretaker Deputy Minister of Investment Planning Georgi Savov is an alumnus of the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia. Since 1994, Savov has managed two architectural design and project management companies.

Master of Pharmacy Lidiya Neycheva is the hospital pharmacy manager at Tokuda Hospital Sofia. She was Deputy Minister of Health in the previous caretaker government headed by Marin Raykov.

The new Deputy Minister of Finance Violeta Petkova has been working in the Public Financial Inspection Agency as a Public Internal Auditor, Head of department, Head of directorate, and from August 2010 to June 2013 as its director.

The team of the caretaker Interior Minister includes three deputies – Filip Gunev, Andrey Yankulov, and Kiril Hadzhihristev. Filip Gunev was Deputy Interior Minister in the previous caretaker government. He holds and MA in Social Anthropology from the University of Columbia, and a PhD in Sociology. Andrey Yankulov holds an MA in Law from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and is currently prosecutor at the Sofia Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Kiril Hadzhihristov, former Director of the district police directorate in Smolyan, is currently expert at the "Security" directorate of DSK Bank. He graduated from the "Vasil Levski" National Military University in Veliko Tarnovo.

Desislava Yosifova and Pavel Anastasov have been appointed Deputy Defense Ministers in the caretaker government. Yosifova graduated from the Sofia-based University of National and World Economy (UNWE). She is Associate Professor and currently chairs the "Accounting and Control" Department at the Sofia Higher School of Transport "Todor Kableshkov".

Pavel Anastasov was head of a unit for strategic policies, analyses and forecasts at the President's Office prior to his appointment as Deputy Defense Minister in the caretaker government. In the period 2008-2009, he was an expert at the Security and Defense Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense. He holds a BA in Political Science from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and MA in Central and South-East European Studies from the University College London.

Katya Todorova will be deputy to the Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov. A career diplomat, Todorova was deputy foreign minister in 2002-2005.

Kamen Spasov will be deputy minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of  South Carolina and Vienna University of Economis and Business (WU). Most of his carreer has been related to e-government and information security.
