Polish MP Artur Debski will be living in London as a migrant for two weeks as he seeks to understand why so many young Poles move to the UK.

The MP from the liberal Your Movement party, has taken a low-cost flight to the UK, looking for a job and a flat and surviving on GBP100 (USD180) a week, in order to see why so many Polish people are quitting one of Europe's most successful economies.

"I don't know what I'm going to do there. I'm 45 years old and my English isn't great. I'll have to work with my hands, in a kitchen, perhaps, or in a shop," Debski told The Daily Telegraph.

"It's dangerous for Poland that so many of our young people are thinking about leaving," he added.

Ever since Poland joined the EU in 2004, hundreds of thousands of Poles have come to the UK, the BBC notes.

According to a 2011 census, some 579,000 Polish-born people were living in the UK, which is a 10-fold increase from 10 years earlier.
