Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro will summon all regional and opposition governors to discuss the crisis in the country.
Violent protests in the past weeks have left 10 people dead, Euronews confirms.
The demonstrations have been organized by students throughout several cities in the country. Meanwhile, supporters of Maduro and the late leader Hugo Chavez have also taken to the streets to show their support for the government.
The President has called the protests a "coup attempt" and blames right wing groups supported by the United States for trying to destabilize the country.
However, his latest move to open discussions and negotiations signals a possible shift away from using violence to deter the protests.
Last week, the opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez was imprisoned and charged with inciting violence.
