On Friday evening, a suicide bomber blew himself up near a popular Lebanese restaurant in Kabul, after which two gunmen entered the site and opened fire.

All three attackers were killed.

Among the victims were officials of the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, the EU police mission to Afghanistan, and citizens of Canada, US, UK, and Russia.

The terrorist assault was condemned by the U.N. Security Council, NATO and the European Union.
