The death toll of the terrorist attack in the Russian city of Volgograd has reached 16, after one of the injured men died in hospital.

The explosion, which happened around 12:40 AM local time at the Volgograd railway station, is believed to have been carried out by a militant woman, Oksana Aslanova.

This is the second terrorist attack in Volgograd, after a suicide bomber blew herself up on a bus in October, killing 6 and injuring 30.
