Authorities in Serbia have carried out Saturday a massive operation against the distribution of illegal drugs in the country, arresting 128 people.

Among the detainees are believed to be high-profile leaders of the drug mafia in Serbia, said Vice-PM Aleksandar Vucic, as quoted by Serbian BETA agency.

At a special pressconference, Vucic announced that "Hell is coming" for all drug dealers in the country.

The names of those arrested, who are all expected to face court, will be disclosed after 48 hours.

Serbian authorities have embarked on two important anti-drug operations, codenamed Thunder and Thunder 1, which are estimated to have targeted some 500 suspected criminals.

A large number of weapons and ammo, as well as funds in cash and luxury cars have also been seized.
