Bulgaria's Regional Development Ministry plans to start asphalting 700 km of roads from 2014.
These will include first, second, and third class roads. Annually, BGN 80-100 M will be put aside for their repair, announced Regional Development Minister Desislava Terzieva in front of bTV.
Terzieva added that the rehabilitation of roads will be among the government's priorities, especially those which have not been repaired for 20-30 years. The government has also started building 145 km of new highway sections.
The Regional Development Minister revealed that BGN 60 M will be available for the cleaning and maintenance of roads during the snowy winter months.
